XOXO, Gossip Girl

So, last night was FINALLY the premier episode of Gossip Girl since the writers strike began.  I was actually starting to get sick of all the ridiculous “reality” television shows that have been attempting to take place of all the amazing scripted shows for this long that I’ve been desperately missing (I really don’t think I can watch another marathon of ‘Americas Next Top Model’ or ‘Flavor of Love’).  For anyone who is a fan of ‘90210′ or ‘The OC’, I believe you would be just as obsessed with ‘Gossip Girl’ as I am, if that is humanly possible.  The writer of the series, Josh Schwartz, also wrote ‘The OC’, so off the bat you know the show will obviously be a hit because that man is a genius.  Gossip Girl, taking place in the ritzy Upper East Side of the glamorous New York City, has wit, humor, drama (duh), chic fashion, and an aura when you watch it that makes you want to be a part of it.  From the amazing wardrobe showcased worn to perfection on every character, along with their ridiculously good looks, there is no wonder that ‘Gossip Girl’ is one of the most watched and popular shows at the moment.

Just recently, the new cover of New York Magazine has the entire cast on it, with a headline that reads “Best. Show. Ever.” I think that sums up that I’m not the only person overly obsessed with this hit drama that plays on the CW.  Last night, 2.4 Million viewers tuned in to watch the Season 1 continuing episodes, and there are only 4 more left.  I don’t know about you, but this show is all about progression.  The outfits keep getting better, the comments and narration keep getting more clever, and the drama keeps getting juicier.  So tune in, because your nobody until your talked about.
